Loan Against Mutual Funds
Borrow for the gap. Keep the SIP, the units and the compounding.
How we do it
We run two numbers before anything else: what redeeming would cost you in tax and lost growth, and what borrowing would cost in interest. If redemption is cheaper, we tell you.
If a loan makes sense, we choose which funds to pledge, keep the amount well under the lender's limit, and set a repayment date on day one.
A loan against funds is a bridge. We make sure it has an end.
Questions
What clients ask us first.
How much can I borrow?
Lenders typically allow around 50% of equity fund value and a higher share of debt fund value. We keep you well below the limit.
What is the interest rate?
It depends on the lender and your profile. We compare current rates across lenders before you apply.
What if markets fall after I borrow?
The lender may ask for more security or a part-payment. Borrowing well under the limit is how we avoid that.
Do my SIPs stop?
No. Pledged units stay invested and your SIPs continue.
